Flood warnings remain in force at Pendine and Kidwelly

Natural Resources Wales’ live service, updated at 7:00am, lists two active flood warnings:

  • Pendine: Tidal flooding warning issued at 3:03pm on Monday.

  • Carmarthen Bay Holiday Park, Kidwelly: Tidal flooding warning issued at 3:00pm on Monday.

Two other warnings issued yesterday, covering Cardigan and the River Towy at Pensarn, Llangunnor and Old Station Road in Carmarthen, were withdrawn later in the evening. New flood alerts were also issued overnight for the Rivers Gwendraeths and the Glaslyn and Dwyryd catchment.

The latest five-day assessment identifies low flood risk today in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Anglesey and Pembrokeshire. NRW warns that coastal flooding remains possible, with roads and properties potentially affected.

Why it matters: Coastal communities face further flooding risk following the weekend’s storms, while councils and emergency services are still dealing with damage and recovery.
