A plastics processor announced plans to expand operations in Gorseinon and Tredegar, supported by earlier Welsh Government investment.
Jayplas said the developments could create more than 100 jobs by March 2028 and enable the two sites to process at least 100,000 tonnes of recycled plastics annually. Ministers also presented estimated carbon savings, which depend on full commissioning and actual throughput. The project links environmental policy to manufacturing employment and the question of where collected recyclable material is processed.
Why it matters: A follow-up should verify actual job numbers, operating capacity and local supply-chain benefits once the plants are fully running.
