Rhun ap Iorwerth appointed a new Welsh Government ministerial team on 13 May, following the Senedd election.
The appointments placed Sioned Williams in the Deputy First Minister role, Elin Jones in finance, Mabon ap Gwynfor in health and care, Anna Brychan in education and the Welsh language, and Adam Price in enterprise, connectivity and energy. The portfolios indicated an administration seeking to make health, living costs, jobs and public services central priorities. Cabinet appointments are not themselves evidence of delivery.
Why it matters: The new ministers’ performance should be assessed against transparent baselines, spending decisions and measurable results over the Senedd term.
