Natural Resources Wales identifies coastal flooding risk for Monday and Tuesday

Natural Resources Wales has issued a five-day assessment identifying possible coastal flooding following the unsettled weather.

Its assessment, updated at 10:30am on Friday, identifies a low but significant risk of local coastal flooding on Monday 26 October in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Pembrokeshire.

The risk continues into Tuesday for Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Pembrokeshire.

NRW says land, roads and some properties could flood, potentially disrupting travel. Inland flooding is also possible in parts of Wales during the weekend.

Why it matters: Coastal communities face risks from the combination of high tides, strong winds and unsettled weather.

The assessment is particularly relevant to local authorities, emergency planners, transport operators and businesses in exposed coastal locations.

Status: A forecast of possible flooding, not confirmation that flooding has occurred. Conditions may change as new assessments are published.
