First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth has called for a new partnership for growth between the Welsh and UK governments.
Speaking at Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre, he proposed closer cooperation on economic development and investment, ahead of a meeting with Prime Minister Andy Burnham later this month.
He also announced plans for a Green Paper examining how local and regional powers are administered in Wales.
Why it matters: The proposals could influence the distribution of economic-development responsibilities and how Wales secures infrastructure and industrial investment.
The Green Paper is not yet published, and no new intergovernmental agreement has been concluded.
